Doc Gallows: “If you’ve followed us, you know it’s going to be crazy”

The Good Brothers, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, have had memorable runs in WWE and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. They have also starred in AEW, TNA, and most recently, Maple Leaf Pro.

Now they’re planning to be seen in a whole new light.

Gallows is also a promoter with Lariato Pro Wrestling/Maple Leaf Pro

For the past eight years, the two wrestling veterans have also worked behind the scenes on their own promotion, Lariato Pro Wrestling. This was a significant week for the Georgia-based company, as Gallows and Anderson signed a broadcasting deal for Lariato Pro with the STGN 49 media group. The deal allows a new world of exposure, and Gallows and Anderson are thrilled to broadcast their brand of wrestling to the world.

“It’s the first step in a progression, and we’re so happy to have it,” said Gallows. “Through ROKU, Amazon, and Comcast, the accessibility is higher than a lot of the big-time wrestling promotions. We can be seen in all 50 states, Canada, and a total of 33 countries. We’re completely accessible.”

Gallows and Anderson were longtime enemies of Hiroshi Tanahashi in New Japan/NJPW

The Good Brothers aren’t finished wrestling, either. But the creative duo has aspirations that reach beyond the ring. For Gallows, 41, and Anderson, 45, promoting also represents a chance to prolong their time in the industry.

Last night in Dublin, Georgia, Lariato Pro ran its HEATWAVE show. That was headlined by a Matt Hardy-QT Marshall-Bryce Cannon triple threat, following their model of using established stars to bring a spotlight to less-heralded talent. The broadcast deal now allows a much wider audience to experience the prolific storytelling of Gallows and Anderson.

“Machine Gun and I get to create with Lariato Pro, and that’s what we love to do,” said Gallows. “We love to put our promoter hats on, and we know how important it is to entertain people. We have the opportunity to do that with our vision–and without restrictions.”

Gallows, Anderson, and Rocky Romero were laugh-out loud funny during their Talk ‘n’ Shop podcast. If they can incorporate their personalities into Lariato Pro and tap into their vast resources of contacts throughout the industry, there is plenty of reason for optimism about the future of the promotion.

“This is the first step in our worldwide expansion of our own promotion and our own vision,” said Gallows. “And Lariato Pro Wrestling is Good Brothers TV. If you’ve followed us, you know it’s going to be crazy. So buckle up and enjoy the ride.”

John Cena and CM Punk amp up the intensity

John Cena stares at a snarling CM Punk/WWE

After watching John Cena and CM Punk verbally spar on Friday’s SmackDown, it is even harder to believe that this isn’t the main event for SummerSlam.
