Is there a chance Bryan Danielson will return?
Over the past two months, three verifiable wrestling legends have retired.
First it was John Cena, who was soon followed by Hiroshi Tanahashi and AJ Styles.
Perhaps the tide would turn if a legend returned.
“I don’t close it off,” said Bryan Danielson, discussing the potential of a return. “Maybe.”
The last time Danielson donned his wrestling gear was October 2024. That effectively marked the end of his career, dropping the belt to Jon Moxley at AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view. Repeated injuries to Danielson’s neck ended the prospect of prolonging his time in the ring, and it didn’t help that he wrestled a style that caused further issues to his neck.
Despite all that, it wouldn’t be wise to count out Danielson. Considering how much Danielson loves wrestling, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that he is considering a return.
