Comfortability
To once again piggyback off of last week’s topic on sacrifice, I have been reminded of some very important learnings this week.
Most of our lives are spent chasing one thing. We dream and desire the perfect lives for ourselves from the youngest age. We spend hours thinking about the perfect job, money and status, a loving wife or partner, a mansion, etc. It all boils down to one thing. We as human beings are constantly craving and chasing comfortability.
But this week I was reminded of a different perspective. What happens when you get there?
Setting goals and having desires is an essential task in the material world that we all live in.
They aren’t inherently a bad thing. They allow us to have a clear direction of where we want our lives to go and usually involve some sort of higher purpose or sense of accomplishment. The journey itself, which isn’t easy, which I will touch on in more depth on a different week, but from my understanding, if you put in enough time and effort, you do always reach the end!
But then what?
This is where I offer an alternative perspective.
I think back to the beginning of my independent wrestling career.
