John Cena reveals toughest match: Firefly Fun House at WrestleMania 36
John Cena spoke yesterday in Boston, filling up the Main Theater at Fan Expo Boston. The 45-minute session afforded an opportunity to listen to Cena answer questions, where he offered his insight unfiltered and with raw authenticity.
As Cena prepares for the release of the second season of Peacemaker later this month, he was asked what has been his favorite movie to make.
“My favorite movie to make was Playing With Fire,” answered Cena. “That’s because it’s where I met my wife [Shay Shariatzadeh].”
That was the type of honesty and openness with which he spoke throughout the entire session. And there was plenty of talk about pro wrestling, including favorite memories (“I liked the ‘Ruthless Aggression’ one because it failed,” said Cena, highlighting the importance of learning from mistakes) and his toughest opponent to face.
“It’s the match I had in the Firefly Fun House,” said Cena, referencing a match that took place without a crowd during the pandemic. “The reason that opponent was tough–and I know it was against Bray Wyatt–was because that was more or less a match against me. I’ll say that was my toughest match.”
