After the response following Truth’s departure, it would behoove the company to listen

Now it’s time for WWE to listen–and act.
Ron Killings, best known as R-Truth, announced this past weekend on social media that his time with WWE has reached its end.
When the news surfaced, there was an outpouring of support from fans. The response from people within the wrestling world has also been extraordinary, with many of Killings’ peers also impacted by his impending departure.
Killings is an excellent in-ring performer and a beloved presence in the locker room. And after communicating with a half-dozen members of the WWE roster, it was clear that the decision to let his contract expire was also bothersome for a different reason.
Killings’ time on-screen was limited, yet he made the most of every opportunity. Whether it was introducing Little Jimmy, becoming an extended part of The Judgment Day, or letting the world know about childhood favorite John Cena, he maximized his opportunities. That is a key to success in WWE, especially for those who are not particularly enamored with their creative direction–yet Killings didn’t complain or balk at his role. Instead, he showcased a talent for continually turning lemons into lemonade, with fans relishing the finished product.
