Ahead of this years Night of Champions, we look at the numbers from 2015 and 2023
Throughout the month of June, Wrestling Wait Times will be providing analysis of the time between matches on major WWE shows–beginning with Money in the Bank.
A look back into the past often provides a new perspective on the future.
Thanks to our friends at WaitTimes, that’s exactly what we can do with the upcoming Night of Champions pay per view event.
It certainly feels like the wait time between matches has increased over the past decade, so they looked back at Night of Champions from 2015–as well as the most recent Night of Champions from 2023. As always, we’ll see what the numbers tell us.

That is a total of 46 percent waiting and 50 percent wrestling.
While the percentage of wrestling is similar, the data from older events shows that we spent less time waiting. It will be fascinating to compare these wait times with what we see at Night of Champions on June 28. Those numbers will be posted on Sunday, June 29.
Until then, we leave you… waiting.
It comes out to 96 percent, as the additional four percent equates to the last post-match celebration and closing video package.
